About Kevin Cuatt

It all started when…

Music has always been a part of Kevin’s life.. Growing up, their house was filled with the sounds of Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Ella Fitzgerald, and just about anything else his parents loved to spin. As Kevin grew older, he brought his own music into the mix. Music was always filled the rooms in the house.

Kev actually started off on violin: however, all he wanted to do was play drums. Instead, at 13 years old, somebody handed him a guitar — and he’s never really put it down. Through high school Kevin played with a few pickup bands before becoming friends with Garry and Goon of Sunup, and eventually toured and ran sound with the band.

Years later, after going back to college and meeting another group of musicians, Kevin wrote “Sunshine” for a contest. Life moved on the way it does — soon after moveing to Florida, getting married, raising kids, working hard, but always kept a guitar close by. No matter where life went, music stayed with him.

Along the way Kevin met a lot of great people through the music connections, especially Shane Comerford and Chris Clow. They’ve been playing together for more than 35 years through different bands, different styles, acoustic nights and electric bar gigs. The journey through life has brought Kevin to release one of his first songs he ever created. Now you can join the adventure by giving his music a listen!
